The fibers from the Suri alpaca make Elba an extraordinarily soft and airy lace yarn with a fluffy structure. Knitted or crocheted alone, Elba becomes feather light, and with 2 or more threads together, the result is full and cozy. The soft Elba is also ideal as a companion thread together with, for example, wool. Compared to silk mohair, Elba does not shed like the smooth mohair fiber
