This is over 14% alcohol with no chaptalization

they are still spectacular wines that are aging beautifully

violet and lilac along with an airy array of both red and dark currant

but I can't say there is anything from the wines of the 1990s that required too much tinkering

I would not mark it down as a top tier Petrus

Querciabella, Chianti Classico Brut Zero This is over 14% alcoholThe Riserva is a blend of grapes from three vineyards, Ruffoli, Radda and Gaiole. Production is limited to 10,000 bottles, 'when we are lucky' the Riserva has so far only been produced in 2011, 2013, 2014 and 2015. Pretty but subdued, delicate floral notes and a hint of lilac talcum powder are joined by some irony, mineral notes. The palate is smooth, harmonious and very well integrated, with fine, ripe tannins, a beautiful texture and good weight.
