Vintage Jawbox "Self-Titled" TAG Atlantic Records Promotional Poster Alternative all while looking coolJawbox, the Washington, DC based punk band, released their self titled album in 1996. The band signed to major label Atlantic before their 1993 album, For Your Own Special Sweetheart, after a long stint on the DC label Dischord. For the Atlantic followup, the label shifted them to a newly founded alternative imprint, TAG Records. Despite the album's success, they were dropped by TAG and broke up shortly after its release, making the album their last.
