This old school effort is running out of fruit faster than the structure is resolving so I would suggest drinking up
again somewhat surprisingly
There is a beguiling sense of tension to the lightly mineral-inflected middle weight flavors that really build in intensity to the powerful and impressively persistent and naturally sweet finish where a hint of warmth surfaces
Otherwise there is good freshness and vibrancy to the concentrated big-bodied flavors that possess a discreet stony quality that carries over to the beautifully long
Residual hints of the malolactic fermentation
Vougeraie, Chambolle Musigny other_regions_australia This old school effort is(a blend of Argillires, Veroilles, Condemennes, Chardannes where ~25% of the blend is from the 1ers Les Baudes and Les Gruenchers). An elegant, pure and notably high toned nose blends notes of airy red pinot fruit with hints of cherry, lavender, spice and lilac. The racy, intense and admirably well delineated also exhibit ample minerality on the impressively well balanced, lilting and persistent finish. This is a terrific Chambolle villages. (89 92)
