Bien Nacido, Chardonnay Vintage:2021 intense and persistent finishThe 2021 Chardonnay Estate comes from ungrafted vines planted in 1973. It was barrel fermented and matured in about 40% new French oak, finishing with four months in stainless steel. It has ripe aromas of baked apples, peach, beeswax, roasted almonds and dried hay. Medium bodied, the palate is tangier than expected, its savory fruit slightly less ripe than on the nose. It has a gently grippy texture and will be ideal at the table.
