This is over 14% alcohol with no chaptalization

I was mildly surprised to find a bit of reduction in the bottled version though not enough to completely hide the otherwise ripe

The soaring aromatics are in play here

Jonata, Sangre other_regions This is over 14% alcoholMatt Dees is the winemaker on a property originally invested in by Charles Banks and Stan Kroenke (in the same stable as Screaming Eagle at one stage). Blackish purple. Not very balanced. Sweetness at the start and then a hot chewy end. Liquorice. Fades a bit fast. A bit fossilised. Tastes as though it hasnt evolved for while. Is this an attempt at a Guigal La La style? Not for me at the moment.
