powerful and serious big-bodied flavors that are constructed on a firm base of minerality while being shaped by ripe tannins on the driving

Arlaud, Clos Saint Denis Vintage:2017 it has some grainy tannins(from a . 17 ha parcel of 40+ year old vines located in Clos St. Denis proper). A perfumed and dazzlingly elegant nose displays aromas of essence of red pinot fruit with plenty of spice and floral elements in evidence. This too possesses a caressing mouth feel as there is an abundance of dry extract that buffers the moderately firm tannins on the dusty and superbly persistent finale. This is notably finer than the Charmes but not more complex. (92 95)
