The Dorset & Bournemouth Constabulary was formed in 1967 through a merger of the two separate constabularies and in 1974, when Hampshire constabulary was added, their name was changed to the Dorset Police. So, this helmet dates to between 1967 and 1974. It was made by Christys, a well known English hat manufacturer and retains its paper size
