Condition: This 1950s red velvet dress is in very good condition with the exception of a 1 1/2” mend to the left side (see the last close-up photo) and there is the odd white stitch showing on the left side seam and the front seam

Blackamoors were European conceptions of Africans or Middle Eastern figures during the 17th and 18th centuries, usually presented in servant or courtly roles and dressed in orientalist costumes (turbans, jewelry and robes). These depictions were re popularized during the
