The II was Apple's entrance into personal computers and it was revolutionary. The introduction of its follow up was not as successful, however. The Apple III was marketed as being business oriented but cost and technical problems early on created problems for the newly released computer. This would not be Apple's only failure for the 80s, as the Lisa computer also didn't catch
