but paternity tests revealed it to be a selection of the Eurasian (Greece and Turkey) Amsonia orientalis

The 6" tall x 15" wide clumps are composed of thick, glossy, dark green leaves, that thrive for us in both sun and light shade. In the garden, it's perfect to pair with dwarf hostas.
